Alternative Licensure In DCSD At A Glance

Due to recent changes in state requirements for alternative licensure, DCSD's Curriculum, Instruction, & Professional Growth Department is currently re-evaluating their program. Any new teachers for the 2019-2020 school year who need to participate in an alternative licensure program will need to enroll in a pathway which may be found HERE through the CDE.

Teachers will want to enroll in a program and have the Statement of Assurance submitted to CDE in time for the Alt License to be active on the first day of school. Here is the link to the CDE page for Alternative Licensure which has lots of helpful info

Teachers can email ( or call the CDE at (303) 866-6628 to learn more.
