Skills

Skills

Skills are interpersonal (people) skills we want our students to possess. Often times these may be called "Soft Skills." They include communication skills, listening skills, and empathy, among others.

In the Colorado Academic Standards, these soft skills are called Essential Skills. Formally 21st Century Skills, Essential Skills were developed by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) to closely integrate with the 2020 Colorado Academic Standards.

Below you will find links to a guidance document on Essential Skills from CDE, as well as rubrics on the 4Cs and other 21st Century Skills.
