School and Department Project Requests

DCSD Communications offers a variety of creative services to our departments and schools, including graphic design, video, website design, content production, and more. We are also available to consult with you on your project to help create a clear concept and message.

Please complete the form below with as much information as possible to submit a project request. Please include the written copy for your project where indicated, if your project requires it. Once submitted, you will be contacted by a Communications staff member within two business days to confirm the project request, set a timeline, and schedule a meeting (if necessary) to discuss the scope of your project. For larger projects with multiple steps, you may also receive an invitation to Asana, which is a user-friendly project management program, so that we can communicate and collaborate with you on your project.

For news/event coverage, please click here.

Please view the project completion times below for an estimate of the time it will take to complete your project. Time estimates do not include the time necessary for printing and mailing. For projects that require printing and mailing, please allow an additional 10 business days when planning your project.

Our creative production schedule begins once you have submitted the necessary copy and/or elements for the project. Please try to include all or as much information and content as possible on the project request form.

Please note that the creative team requires at least one week for every project. The production time begins when all content has been received. Projects requested to be completed in less than one week will not be accepted.

NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS

Special Education records which have been collected by Douglas County School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of special education in the district, must be maintained under state and federal laws for the period of five (5) years after special education services have ended for the student. Special education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, or completes his/her educational program at age 21, or moves from the district. This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of Douglas County School District's intent to destroy the special education records of students who exited special education services as of June 30, 2016. These records will be destroyed in accordance with state law unless the parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student notifies the school district otherwise. After five years, the records are no longer useful to the district, but may be useful to the parent/guardian or former student in applying for social security benefits, rehabilitation services, college entrance, etc. The parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student may request a copy of the records by requesting the records at this link ( Douglas County School District Transcripts and Records Requests ).
