CDPHE posted Douglas County will be changing health levels as of 5:00pm today, November 13th.  Douglas County will be moving from level 2 (Safer at Home - yellow) to level 3 (Safer at Home - orange) which will have an impact on rentals with Douglas County School District. As of 5:00pm today, all Douglas County School District indoor rentals will be canceled until further notice and any outdoor rental will be required to follow the local and current State health guidelines. SEPTEMBER 25, 2020 ... Douglas County School District is currently open for outdoor rentals and will begin limited indoor rentals on October 1st.  The Rental Office has established a tiered plan to align with the State's levels (Safer at Home and Protect our Neighbors).  The first tier (Tier 3) for indoor rentals is set to begin October 1st to include rentals which require the use of a classroom enrolling the students currently at the school.  The next tier (Tier 4) is scheduled to begin November 1st and will include indoor rentals for either a gym or cafeteria enrolling students at the school or community groups.  Tier 5 is scheduled to begin December 1st and will include indoor rentals for community groups which require the use of 2-3 areas in the school.  Finishing up on January 1, 2021 with Tier 6 to include indoor rentals to community groups which require 3+ areas in the school.  Cleaning/disinfecting of the rented area(s) will be managed by the rental.  Please note the above schedule/tiers are tentative and subject to change. 

All rentals will be responsible for following current Local and State health guidelines (ie: # of attendees, masks, social distancing, etc) when renting with Douglas County School District.  

Given the current situation, all above dates are subject to change and if there is a school closure, all rentals will be cancelled.

The Office of Facility Rentals supports our stakeholders by managing use (inside and outside) of our schools within our community. With nearly seventy school sites, we provide a wide variety of space to suit our clients' needs. Our goal is to provide rental space for your organization while controlling costs.

The Office of Facility Rentals is one of the primary contacts between our community and our schools. A wide variety of groups (both non-profit and commercial) utilize our schools seven days a week.

A portion of the rental dollars is shared directly to the school, which gives the school additional funding to further support children's education.
