Open Enrollment

Parent Empowerment Through Choice

The Douglas County School District embraces parent and student choice by offering a wide variety of pathways to learning, including neighborhood schools, charter, magnet, and online schools and home education options.

First Round Open Enrollment will open on November 1st and closes on December 2nd. Schools will extend offers of open enrollment based on space availability by December 9th. Parents can see offers in the EngagED Parent Portal on December 10th at 8:00am and have until December 16th at 4:00 pm, to log back in and accept any open enrollment offers. In the event you did not receive any offers during First Round, you will remain on a wait list for Second Round of Open Enrollment, which opens on January 22nd at 8:00 am.

**Second Round Open Enrollment runs from January 22, 2020 through August 3, 2020.  If you were put on the wait list during the first round, you will still be on that list for the second round. Schools will ONLY reach out to you when and if a spot becomes available**
